| tburbach: Burbach from Ujverbasz | Does anyone have information about the Burbach family from Ujverbasz, Austria-Hungary?
In 1911, Johann Burbach (b. ~1887) emigrated from Ujverbasz, Austria-Hungary to Chicago, Illinois. His wife, Magdelena (b. 1881), remained in Hungary while her husband established himself in America. She and a son (b. 1908) emigrated the next year. A 1930 United States census record indicated that Czechoslovakia was the birthplace of both Johann and Magdelena (the 1920 census record listed Hungary), and German was their first language.
